Senior Fullstack Engineer (d/f/m)

At Rulemapping, we make legislation machine-readable. You build the web applications through which public authorities and companies work with this technology, from the React frontend to the NestJS backend, in close collaboration with UX and Product Management.

• You develop performant, maintainable frontend components with React, Panda CSS, and TanStack Router, working closely with UX/UI (Figma) and Product Management on user-centered features.
• You implement and maintain scalable REST backends in NestJS, with clean architectural principles and clear API design.
• With PostgreSQL, you own database design, query optimization, and migrations, integrate Keycloak for authentication, and connect the Rulemapping Automation Backend securely.
• AI tools like Claude Code are part of your daily development work, for code generation, refactoring, and tests. You keep code quality high with ESLint, Prettier, Vitest, Jest, Playwright, and structured code reviews.
• You contribute to architecture decisions, knowledge sharing in the team, and the build-out of our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, cloud deployment), and evaluate new technologies to keep the platform technically current and scalable for the long term.

• Several years of experience building fullstack web applications. Whether with a computer science degree or self-taught with demonstrable practice, what matters is what you have built.
• Deep understanding of TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL. Python skills are a plus.
• Confident with state management, APIs, authentication (Keycloak), and frontend performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of software architectures, data flows, and API design.
• Experience with Vite and the common tooling around testing and code quality, plus a working understanding of CI/CD and cloud environments.
• You work autonomously, think pragmatically, and write code that others enjoy building on. You keep yourself actively up to date on new technologies and trends.
