- You own the development and maintenance of Python applications within the Rulemapping Application Platform – a platform that has been running in production for over 20 years, supporting complex legal and regulatory processes
- You actively maintain and improve code quality: thoughtful architecture, meaningful refactoring, clean interfaces, and solid test coverage
- You integrate and evolve AI functionality – LLM APIs, embeddings, and pipelines – cleanly and sustainably into existing applications
- You leverage modern AI-assisted coding tools as a natural part of your daily development workflow
- You contribute actively to technical decisions, code reviews, and feature design
- You keep a continuous eye on performance, correctness, and reliability – and act before things become problems
- You collaborate closely with the DevOps role – infrastructure and deployment live there; you deliver clean, deployable code
- You handle technical debt constructively and resolve it pragmatically in an ongoing production environment

- Several years of hands-on experience with Python in production – you know the difference between good code and fast code
- A reliable instinct for readable, maintainable code: sensible abstractions, solid tests, and clean typing
- Familiarity with the modern Python ecosystem: FastAPI, async, packaging, and common tooling are part of your daily work
- You work with a high degree of autonomy, make decisions, and can articulate your reasoning – you don't need close supervision to deliver strong results
- Experience with LLM APIs or ML models in production applications is a clear advantage – if not yet, a genuine willingness to get up to speed quickly is sufficient
